As the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 drew to an end, we could feel the anticipation at each knockout stage, the quarter, semi, and finals as our customers had their fingers crossed hoping the country they chose for the sweepstake won.
Of course, there was the dilemma of having a team that you may not have been rooting for in the world cup, but for the sake of the sweepstake, wanting the drawn-out team to win, making this an even more exciting and exhilarating lead-up to the final.
As each stage of the world cup concluded, our remaining customers in the sweepstake had more than one reason to look forward to/ dread the final.
Would their team win? Would they be taking home the £150 grand prize?
And now, we finally have a winner for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, but also a Quantum sweepstake winner.

Kelly from Mean Electrical took home the grand prize of £150 in Love2Shop vouchers for drawing Argentina, and the runner up, Austin from Bright Sparks, drew France, winning the £50 in Love2Shop vouchers.

Alongside the World Cup Sweepstake, we also LIVE streamed some football matches at Quantum House while our customers indulged in free snacks and coffees, and hosted a guess the score event with the official FIFA World Cup 2022 football up for grabs.
Congratulations to the Three Lions for getting to the quarter finals!… it may not be coming home, but they were an impressive team to watch this year.
We are sad to see the world cup come to an end however, we will always have the memories we shared with our customers throughout the duration of the Qatar world cup… until the next one in 4 years time.
