Remembrance Day 2022 | “A Stranger Died” Poem by Karen Earp, Quantum Employee

We will remember them. Lest we forget. 🌺

On the 11th of November, like everyone across the country, we observed a 2-minute silence dedicated to the heroes who scarified their lives to protect our nation.

The eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month (11/11), remains an important date in history as it was the moment when the guns at the end of World War 1 in 1918, after over 4 years of continuous war, fell silent.

Hence, at 11am on the 11th of November, like everyone across the country and allied nations, Quantum observed a 2-minute silence, paying our respects to the heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect our nation.

This is a heartfelt poem written by Karen Earp, a Quantum Employee, reminding us that the lives we have today would not be the same, without the brave souls that fought and made the ultimate sacrifice of their lives in service of us all.

And so we continue to remember the heroes who volunteered, served, fought and died for our freedom and protected our way of life!

“Remembrance Day, Lest we Forget,

That for each of us alive today,

A stranger died, far away.”
