This week, 26th of November to 6th of December, marks the UK’s largest annual tree celebration, National Tree Week, where thousands of people come together to plant thousands of trees, reminding us all how important trees are to our ecosystem from sustaining wildlife, creating oxygen, and purifying our air. Planting trees is the perfect way to lead us to a “greener future together”.
At Quantum, we pride ourselves in being an environmentally conscience wholesaler and giving back to the wider community, taking responsibility in combating our contributions to climate change with our green Initiatives.
In 2020, we started our commitment to reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, making the bold switch to a fleet of all EV delivery vans with the aim of being exclusively electric, using zero petrol or diesel for all our deliveries by 2030.
Then in 2021, we launched our tree planting initiative, ‘Saving the Climate, One Tree at a Time’, partnering up with Ecologi by donating to their tree planting scheme whereby we plant a tree for every sale – with no cost passed on to our customers – to help offset the carbon footprint associated with each sale.
Ecologi are top specialists in carbon recapture and reforestation, working tirelessly with a global team, helping us play our part in combatting climate change.
Since our Tree Planting green initiative launch in 2021, we are pleased to share that we have planted over 20,000 trees, and there are no plans on stopping. So, thank you for helping us “grow a greener future together” through our Tree Planting initiative!
